Dr.Yajnik is a Ph.D. in Management Studies from NMIMS (University of Mumbai) , a Master of Science (Technology) from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani and Master of Management Studies from NMIMS (Mumbai University.) He has worked with companies such as Wipro Infotech and Digital Equipment (HP) in areas spanning Business Development, Learning Services and Program Management. At NMIMS University, where he is currently Professor of Information Systems , he teaches courses in Information Technology, Marketing and Perspective Management. He has several publications to his credit at the National and International level. He is also a Corporate Trainer and serves on the Executive Boards of Information Technology and Management forums of India.In April 2003, he was awarded the NMIMS Best Faculty award for the year 2002-03.
Dr. Nilay Yajnik is on the Editorial Board of Innovate Journal of Online Education of the Fischler School of Education of the Nova Southeastern University , Florida , USA and is also on the Editorial Board of the AIMS International Journal of Management , Texas , USA. He has been appointed as a paper reviewer for the 68th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management , Anaheim , California , the 14th Americas Conference on Information Systems , Toronto , Canada and the 1st World Summit on the Knowledge Society , Athens , Greece where he is also on the Scientific Program Committee.
Dr. Nilay Yajnik is on the Executive Committee of the Management Education Division of the Academy of Management USA , the Executive Committee of the Bombay Management Association , India , the National Council of the Indian Society for Training and Development , the Managing Committee of the Computer Society of India (Mumbai Chapter) and the IT Committee of the Indian Merchants Chamber.
