Dr. Holli A. Semetko

Holli A. Semetko is Vice Provost for International Affairs, Director of The Claus M. Halle Institute for Global Learning, and Professor of Political Science at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Her research expertise includes public opinion; journalism and comparative media and political systems; campaigns, elections and media; and survey research, content analysis, and research design.
After completing her PhD in political science at the London School of Economics & Political Science in 1987, she taught at the University of Michigan and Syracuse University before taking a chair as professor of audience and public opinion research at the University of Amsterdam. She moved to Emory University in 2003. Her book Political Campaigning in Referendums (Routledge, 2004) focuses on the impact of the media in European referendum campaigns.
