
Dr. Jagdish (Jag) N. Sheth
Dr. Sheth is the Charles H. Kellstadt Professor of Marketing in the Goizueta Business School and the founder of the Center for Relationship Marketing (CRM) at Emory University. Prior to his present position, he was on the faculty of the University of Southern California, where he founded the Center for Telecommunications Management, the University of Illinois, Columbia University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Sheth is an expert on geopolitical realignment of nations, global competitiveness and strategic vision for global enterprises.
Dr. Sheth has worked for numerous industries and companies in the U.S, Europe and Asia, both as an advisor and as a seminar leader. His clients include AT&T, BellSouth, Cox Communications, Delta, Ernst & Young, Ford, GE, Lucent Technologies, Motorola, Nortel, Pillsbury, Sprint, Square D, 3M, and Whirlpool. He has given more than 5,000 presentations in at least twenty countries. He is also on the Board of Directors of several public companies, including Norstan and Wipro Limited.
A prolific author, Dr. Sheth coauthored a textbook with Banwari
Mittal, Customer Behavior.
In 2000, Dr. Sheth
and Andrew Sobel published
a best seller, Clients
for Life and in 2001,
the book Value Space,
coauthored with Banwari
Mittal, was published.
His latest book, The
Rule of Three, coauthored
with Dr. Rajendra Sisodia,
was published in 2002. In 2007, Dr. Sheth published The
Self-Destructive Habits
of Good Companies...
And How to Break Them.

Dr. Sheth returned in May from visits to Dubai and India.
In Dubai, Dr. Sheth
presented the Commencement
Speech for a unique
MBA and executive MBA
program for Indian
students at the S.P.
Jain Center of Management.
He also presented the
seminar "Chindia...
is it just a tremor
or more? Compelling
perspectives for CEOs," a
discussion of the impact
of the rise of China
and India in global
economic and geopolitical
power.
While in India, Dr.
Sheth and his book The Self-Destructive
Habits of Good Companies...
and How to Break Them ,
were the subject of
a three part documentary
series produced by
CNBC India called "Lessons in Excellence" that
aired in July. Also
during his stay, several
Indian news organizations
interviewed Dr. Sheth
on the leadership of
India's growing corporate
sector. He observed
that Indian firms need
more non-Indian diversity
and need to take foreign
competition more seriously.
He also expressed his
concern that Indian
firms will become too
arrogant because of current growth patterns. |
